Judge's Education
The CMTC Education committee is pleased to provide the following resources to assist judges wishing to learn more about evaluating Manchester Terriers (Toy and Standard).
Breed Standards
Though the Manchester Terrier is registered as a single breed, the Canadian Kennel currently maintains two separate but very similar breed standards for the two varieties. The CMTC is working to address this inconsistency.
- Toy Manchester Breed Standard
- Standard Manchester Breed Standard
- Guide to Judging Abroad (tip sheet on breed standard differences and copies of international breed standards)
- Historical breed standards as well as current breed standards used in other countries can be found in our Reading Room.
Presentation Materials
The CMTC has created an informative presentation outlining the breed's history, form and function, breed standard, and touching on the finer points of breed type. Click the download icon at right to access the full Powerpoint file.
CDJA judges wishing to view a recording of the complete October 2017 online presentation can access the file in the Canadian Dog Judge's Association's presentation archives. Other interested individuals or judges can request a copy of the recording by emailing [email protected] |
